On today’s podcast ep: Card Pull & Finding Inspiration for Your Prayer Practice, I dive into how I use a “controversial” spiritual practice within the Christian world to find inspiration for my prayer practice.
As a Christian, I’ve spent the last few years struggling to identify myself. I combine a few different methods of practicing spirituality to create an inspirational and encouraging practice of praying to God. Religion, in the history of the world, has and continues to be a loaded topic.
When I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, my faith in God became more relevant in my life than ever. I needed to tap into my beliefs to maintain any quality of life and keep my head above the water.
I’ve avoided talking about my faith not because I’m embarrassed, but because I don’t know how to broach the topic. How can I talk about something I feel so deeply, but don’t necessarily know how to convey with words?
All I know is that I feel very grounded, peaceful, inspired, and abundant in love when I merge spiritual practices such as card pulling and prayer. In this instance, I wanted to share a bit of that with you and inspire you to try something new.
It’s my belief that if something brings joy into our lives, and that joy makes us feel connected to a higher power and hopeful for the future, that that thing isn’t “bad.”
So without further ado, please enjoy today’s episode if you chose to listen and if you enjoy it, please let me know and I’ll try my best to find more words to explain how I weave together these types of practices to form my relationship with God and the universe.
