Hello lovely people! I hope you’re well. This week I wanted to talk a little bit about how I make my vision boards! I’ve always loved collaging and it’s a big part of my self care routine. As a kid I would take my Vogue magazines and rip out all the clothes I wanted to buy. My first experiences with manifestation were finding what I had ripped out and collaged at second hand shops.
While I don’t believe vision boarding alone brings in manifestations, collaging dreams and having that visual where you can see it every day certainly helps. I make one for my laptop and one for my phone. It holds me accountable and reminds me why I’m doing what I’m doing everyday. It lights a little fire in me.
To start, I’ll work through To Be Magnetic’s Pathway program to develop a manifestation list and align with my future goals. My favorite thing is going through what I’ve already manifested and checking things off. It reminds me to keep doing the subconscious work that is really the key to bringing in your manifestations.
Once I have a list, I gather my photos. I personally love and use Pinterest (I mean who doesn’t?) because I’m not marketing myself using those photos, my vision board is just for me. While I’m not opposed to sharing dreams, I don’t subscribe to superstition and the belief that things won’t come if I share them, but I do avoid sharing with people who might doubt my ability to manifest it. We don’t need that energy over here and I’m fragile. Working on that inner resilience 😉
This is where I use inDesign because I’m a designer lol, but you can use PicMonkey or Canva here. Seeing everything together is so affirming for me, as everything always fits together and always has a color theme!
Rinse and repeat! You can make vision boards for different things like career, relationships, or personal goals. I try to give my mood boards a three month expiration date so I have something to work towards. I also include screenshots of my bank accounts with my target numbers in them. These I don’t slap a number on. I actually go and calculate out what’s realistic, then add on a reasonable amount. I like to shoot for the stars, but I’m not planning on winning the lottery this year.
If you’re stuck on what to manifest, meditate on it. I like finding heart opening and future meditations on Insight Timer. Then I journal what came up. I also like to meditate silently and just let my mind bring me to my highest self. She’s usually in a garden outside her Scottish countryside cottage, with a hearty stew and bread in the kitchen, living the good life. She travels and lives with her husband, their dogs, cats, and horses and they fly out to see their kids and travel Europe often. Whenever I put money into my retirement, I imagine that lifestyle coming true for me and it makes my little heart explode.
Other tips:
Things also don’t have to be black and white. If a photo resonates with you, use it! I included that photo below with the oranges, and while it doesn’t mean I want to manifest oranges lol, I would love that aesthetic in my future home. Also, try to find things in the photos that you already have. This makes it much easier for your subconscious to believe it’s real for you. In the photo of the guy pouring milk below, he’s using a mug that my boyfriend has.
I hope this is helpful and happy vision boarding! I would love to see photos, I promise never to say you can’t achieve them, because you can! If you want to email them to me at lovelydigest@gmail.com, I’d be honored.
