My Time as a Virtual Assistant
My time as a virtual assistant opened up so many doors and gave me the opportunity to learn how to run a business. I tripled my income in the first month of business and have been able to support myself completely while working part time. If you have a few minutes to watch the video below and support my channel, I would really appreciate it! There are also some highlights below.
Last time I shared my journey I talked about how I worked through limiting mindsets. I knew I wanted to start a business because I believed I could do it.
My intuition said I’d find the right clients and my journey would be filled with ease.
I really needed ease and stability because my Crohn’s symptoms are impacted by stress. I decided to stop wasting time applying to 9-5s that didn’t resonate with who I wanted to become.
While watching IIN I heard Kate and sent her a very simple pitch via email asking if she needed an assistant and she said yes.
The idea of doing my own taxes holding me back
I became a sole proprietor and now do all my accounting and taxes by myself. And it’s so, so simple but I feel so confident now.
Being a VA allowed me to do so many different things and explore business ideas.
I started doing more and more design work again.
I applied to an email that my alma mater, MassArt sent and was one of five alumni accepted into the Creative Economy Business Incubator where I’ve manifested community and the ability to learn from professionals.
This was when I really started to pivot and understand what I wanted to do.
